Day 1 – Arrival for your Uganda – Gorilla/Chimpanzee Trekking Safari.
Our company representative will pick you from airport and take you to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Cassia lodge or Serena hotel.
Day 2 –Transfer to Kibale national park.
After breakfast, transfer to Fort Portal with lunch en-route. Relax at your hotel in the afternoon. As we transfer there will be numerous stopovers in search for various African primate species like the Black and white plus the red collobus, Uganda Red tailed, Varvet, Blue and L’hoests monkey, grey cheeked mangabey among others, tusk your tour guide to explain and bring the Uganda cultures and way of lifestyle of the people and the ways of life from the dome shaped grass thatched houses to the farming systems. Overnight at Mountains Of The Moon hotel, chimpanzee guest house or chimp nest lodge.
Day 3 – Chimp Tracking Experience in Kibale national park Uganda
Kibale Forest is commonly well known as home of about 13 primate , making it the most diversely endowed tropical forest in Africa and perhaps the whole world, most of which are diurnal and a few nocturnal spp. After Breakfast go for chimpanzee tracking. This African primate safari with both chimp and gorilla tracking will also let you see other primates including l’hoestes, red colobus, blue red tailed and gray cheeked mangabey. Enjoy the services of our tour guide who will give you vast information on these primates, forest, flora and fauna. In the afrter noon you will take a visit to Bigodi swamp, Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 4 – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Uganda
Leave Fort Portal in the morning after and pass through Uganda’s beautiful scenic areas which will provide the scenic views of the Mountains of the moon- among the highest in Uganda. Have a stop over at the Equator en-route. Proceed to the second larges Naional Park in Uganda called Queen Elizabeth National Park. After lunch proceed for an optional evening game drive or you can choose to do the crater drive or a game safari in search of different species of animals. Day 5 Morning Game Safari
After an early Breakfast we’ll go for a morning game safari in the Park. Expect to see the famous Big Four; African Elephant, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard on lucky mornings. expect antelopes like the Bush and Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Giant forest hog, Hyenas, do not undermine the skies as they are a great habitat of several large bird species and the beautiful Euphobia which at times house the elusive Leopard. In the afternoon we’ll take a launch cruise along the amazing Kazinga channel and you will appreciate the scores of Hippos, Buffaloes, and Crocodiles close to the waterside. There is a variety of bird species and other migratory species ranging from the small kingfishers to great Pelicans and Giant herons. later in the evening Embark on a game drive safari looking for Elephants, Lions, Buffalo, Bush Buck as we drive back late in the evening for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 6- Head to Bwindi impenetrable NP- Uganda
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park which is well known as home of gorillas. driving through the ‘Switzerland of Africa an area known as Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads. You will Pass through Ishasha and you are likely to have an opportunity to see the tree climbing lions . dinner and overnight Gorilla Forest Camp, Gorilla Resort or Lake Kitandara Tented Camp or silver back lodge.
Day 7 – Gorilla Tracking
You will go for gorilla tracking walking up steeply in the dense rain forest through different trails crossed by animals allowing access to tourists. Gorilla tracking is an inspiring and wonderful adventure for any African safari which one should not miss. The Gorillas are peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. FB
Day 8- Transfer to lake mburo national park.
At agreed time, you will have morning break fast and transfer to lake Mburo national park, enter the park with game drive which might enable you to see the zebras, topis, elands, impalas, , giraffes , buffaloes etc. Dinner and overnight at Mantana luxury tented camp, Mihingo lodge or Arcadia Cottages, lake mburo safari lodge.
Day 9 – Transfer to Kampala
After an early morning breakfast, we transfer to Kampala, a stop over at Mpambire Royal Drum Makers where we shall be able to have a view of the ceremonial drums being worked up on. If time allows you may have to stop at the Equator for photographs. Finally you will be rushed to Entebbe international airport for your flights back home.
