6 Days Pian Upe And Kidepo Wildlife Safari is an adventurous safari which takes you to the newly recognized tourist destinations with amazing sceneries. Pian Upe is joined with other wildlife protected areas in the north eastern part of Uganda that is Matheninko and Bokora wildlife reserve as well as Mount Elgon national park which forms the Mount Elgon Conservation Area which is managed by Uganda wildlife Authority.

Day 3; Explore the reserve on a game drive and community tour

Day 4; Transfer to kidepo national park

DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1; TRANSFER TO SIPI FALLS

Early in the morning, you will meet your safari guide from the airport or any place of advise and embark on the journey to sipi falls which takes 6 to 7 hours as you pass through mabira forest, jinja and a number of sugar plantations. On arrival, you will, you will hike the falls depending on your capability, you can hike 2 of the waterfalls or all the 3 falls. After the hike, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.

DAY 2; TRANSFER TO PIAN UPE WILDLIFE RESERVE

After having morning breakfast, you will be transferred to pian upe wildlife reserve and the journey takes 2 to 3 hours’ drive from sipi falls. You will have an enroute lunch in the nearby towns and then proceed to the reserve. On arrival, you will go for an evening game drive and then later connect to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 3; EXPLORE THE RESERVE ON A GAME DRIVE AND COMMUNITY TOUR

After the morning breakfast, you will head for a morning game drive within the savannah plains in search of wildlife species such as animals like elands, cheetahs, hartebeests, Oribis, Uganda kobs, common Duiker, buffaloes, zebras and antelopes among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for a community tour where you will visit the local karamoja community which is next to the park. You will be able to learn more about the community and experience their culture in dance and drama performances. After the cultural visit, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.

DAY 4; TRANSFER TO KIDEPO NATIONAL PARK

After having breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to kidepo valley national park. The drive takes 5 to 6 hours’ drive with enroute lunch. On arrival, you will proceed to your lodge and check in for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.

DAY 5; EXPLORE KIDEPO NATIONAL PARK

After your morning breakfast, you will drive to the morning game drive and explore the park in Narus valley. After the morning game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will return to the park for another game drive where you will spot animals, ostriches and other bird species as well as visit the hot springs of Kanangorok. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.

DAY 6; TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA

After morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kampala. The journey take s10 to 12 hours with enroute stops to refresh as well as have lunch. On arrival, you will be dropped at the international airport for your flight back home or any place of advise.
