DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT
On arrival at the airport you will be picked up by the most experienced guide and then he will drive you to Kigali. You get briefed about your tour and after that you will have lunch leave for Parc Nationale des Volcanoes. The journey to the north goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that show much of Rwanda landscape, gradually climbing to the base of the awesome Virunga volcanoes; sometimes five peaks can be seen. Your dinner and over night at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (FB).
Day 2: GORILLA TRACKING IN VOLCANOES PARK
After your morning breakfast, you will meet our tour guide to go gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a wonderful experience. Incase you are lucky; you can get to see the gorillas, spend an hour with them, and get back at the lodge in time for a late lunch. Some gorilla families however are more mysterious, and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy. Have dinner and over night at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (FB).

Day 3: DIANE FOSSEY VISIT
After breakfast, you will take a trek to the grave of the late famous gorilla researcher called Dian Fossey. This is a shorter trek and can take almost 3 hours. While on this trek, you will get information from the Ranger guides concerning her assassination and the impacts of her research in relation to gorilla conservation. Dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 4: KIGALI CITY TOUR AND RETURN HOME
After morning breakfast, you will leave for Kigali. Go for a City tour including visits to the market, a pottery project, handicraft shops, the Franco-Rwandan cultural centre and the genocide memorial. Have lunch on your way and then drive to the airport, Rwanda Safaris.
