Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
On the 1st day depending on your location, you will be picked up by our Uganda Safari guide who will brief you about the safari. After you will start your journey to Bwindi National Park which is the home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

On your way to the forest, you will have stop overs at the equator for photo opportunities and lunch in Mbarara town. After proceed to south west where winding roads lead through tiered agricultural lands of Kigezi Highlands into the mountain gorillas’ habitat.

Upon arrival at the lodge, check in and relax as you prepare dinner and for the overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
On the 2nd day of your 5 Days Uganda Safari, Wake up early in the morning, you will be served with breakfast and also you will carry packed lunch and your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations of gorilla trekking.

 After the briefing you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and a park guide who is knowledgeable about the gorillas and well conversant with trails in the jungle. During Uganda Gorilla trekking you will spot other animals like forest elephants, buffaloes, other primates like l’hoest monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, different bird species like African harrier hawk, crowned hornbill, African green pigeon, blue headed sunbird among others.

 Once the gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their habitat. After the one-hour encounter with the gentle giants you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking, meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On the 3rd day, wake up early in the morning, you will be served with breakfast at the lodge after proceed on a picturesque drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha sector.

After embark on a game drive in the southern circuit, with a picnic lunch. Here we will be searching for unique and rare tree-climbing lions. Later Check in your lodge and relax, prepare for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park and Boat Cruise
On the 4th day of your 5 Days Uganda Safari, After an early breakfast at the lodge, meet your driver guide for a morning game drive experience in Kasenyi plains.

During the game drive you will have great views of the sunrise, big four mammals, other animal species like waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, views of different bird species among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.

5 Days Uganda Safari

After lunch you will drive to the landing site near Mweya safari lodge for an incredible boat cruise on Kazinga channel.

During the boat trip you will spot large concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, view buffaloes, elephants, warthogs drinking water along the banks, view water birds etc. After the boat cruise you will return to the lodge for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: Chimp tracking & departure
This is the last day of your Safari, after breakfast commence a Kyambura Gorge chimpanzee trekking. In some instances, chimps have been habituated to humans, and their sounds can be heard clearly throughout the forest, thanks to their habituated status. Watching these creatures in their natural habitat is a fantastic wildlife viewing experience.

The Kyambura Game Reserve is also famous for other primate species that include black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, L’hoest guenon, vervet monkeys, and baboon. After, proceed to Kampala, through Fort Portal. Absorb the scenery as we drive over hills, down valleys and through tea plantations, arriving early evening.
